You (yes, you!) might be able to earn a Guinness World Record! Here's a primer on achieving geeky greatness.

Rules

The 'Guinness World Records At Your Fingertips' application must be used for this attempt.
The record must be attempted on an unmodified Apple iPad running official firmware.
The alphabet must be typed in either lower or upper case letters, with no errors, or spaces between the letters.
Errors include typing the same letter twice, including a space or unrelated letter, omitting a letter, or typing letters out of sequence.
The device must be connected to the internet throughout the attempt.
The time displayed on the screen at the end of the attempt is the number to be considered for the purposes of this record.

Rules

For this attempt all text writing and spelling aids (such as predictive text and any kind of autocorrect function) are to be deactivated on the device that is to be used.
The mobile phone to be used must support touch-screen input, and only this input may be used for the duration of the attempt.
All typing must be done while holding the device in the attempter's hands. For the avoidance of doubt, the attempter may use any fingers to type. For clarity, the device may not be placed on any supporting table.
The text to be used every time is as follows: The razor-toothed piranhas of the genera Serrasalmus and Pygocentrus are the most ferocious freshwater fish in the world. In reality they seldom attack a human.
Before the time starts the challenger can hold the phone in either one or both hands but their fingers must not be on the key pad.
During the attempt the text can be corrected and re-typed.
Time stops when the challenger (believing the text is completed) holds up the phone at full arm's length.
At this point it should be shown to the camera that the text has been written correctly.
The text typed on the phone must match exactly the text given above. This includes spaces, capital letters and punctuation. Any deviation of any kind will be regarded as an error and will invalidate the attempt.

Rules

You must make your attempt on an unmodified Nintendo 64 console using unmodified controllers.
You must use all the default in-game settings.
Details of the console region (PAL/NTSC/SECAM) on which the record was attempted must be included in your attempt video/description.
Your video must show the following: 1) the attempt in its entirety; 2) the game cartridge and box, and 3) the display, console and controller used.

The video must show the version of the operating system running on the device. This can be found (iOS)in the Settings menu under General / About.
Guinness do not allow ingame recordings. Please make sure you film yourself playing the game.
